Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 July 2026
These terms cover your use of Deep Detect — the extension, the website, and the licensing service. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Deep Detect browser extension, website, and licensing service (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
2. License to use the Service
Subject to these terms and your active subscription, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Deep Detect for your internal security operations. Each license key authorizes one seat; you may not share a single key across multiple analysts.
3. Trials, subscriptions, and billing
Every install starts with a 30-day full-feature trial that requires no payment. Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis and renew automatically until cancelled.
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record for every purchase. This means Dodo — not Deep Detect — is the seller of record for your transaction: your contract of sale for the payment itself is with Dodo, Dodo issues your invoice or receipt, and Dodo collects and remits any applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST for your jurisdiction. Your right to use the software continues to be governed by these terms.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period you have already paid for.
- On an immediate cancellation or a failed payment, your subscription enters a 3-day grace period. If it is not resolved, the associated license key(s) are revoked and the extension will stop validating.
- Renewals extend your existing key’s validity — the key itself does not change.
- Refunds and chargebacks are handled by Dodo Payments under its refund policy and buyer terms, as the seller of record. Contact us and we will assist, but the final determination and any payment reversal are made by Dodo.
- Except where a refund is granted under that policy or is required by law, fees are non-refundable.
Prices are shown and charged in US dollars. The amount that appears on your statement may differ slightly after currency conversion or the addition of local tax, both of which are determined by Dodo.
4. Your API keys and third-party sources
Deep Detect queries third-party threat-intelligence sources using API keys you provide. You are responsible for obtaining those keys, complying with each provider’s terms, and any usage or costs incurred under your keys. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party sources.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to circumvent licensing, sharing keys beyond your purchased seats, reverse-engineering the Service except as permitted by law, or using it to violate any applicable law or third-party rights.
6. Verdicts are advisory
Deep Detect aggregates signals from third-party sources and presents a verdict to help analysts triage. Verdicts are informational aids, not definitive determinations. You are responsible for your own security decisions and should corroborate findings before acting on them.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Deep Detect will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and associated license keys may be revoked.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
